And now Microsoft is reintroducing a new feature for both Word and PowerPoint for the Web that allows the users to insert images directly from their Android phones. Previously, the process was tedious and time-consuming. The good news is that Microsoft has now included a new Insert Image from Mobile Device command that allows you to perform this task in no time.
Microsoft Word has received a number of features in recent months designed to improve the user experience, such as the Review Mode feature. Word for the Web also got a “like” feature, and Word for the Web’s dark mode became widely available.
To use this feature to insert images into a document or presentation from your Android device, select Insert > Images > Mobile Device. A QR code will then appear that you can scan with your Android phone’s camera or a QR code scanner. However, you will need the Link to the Windows app. Otherwise, you will be redirected to the Google Playstore to facilitate the download.
Finally, make sure you have an active Microsoft 365 subscription, an Android phone and if you are using the Firefox browser, make sure you are using version 104.0 or higher.
From this point, you can now link your Android device to your school or work account by following the on-screen instructions. After successfully completing this process, you can now insert images directly from your Android device into your Word documents and PowerPoint presentations.
Let us know what you think of the feature.
