Samsung Galaxy A14: here are the camera and battery specifications

News Summary:

  • The news comes from a report by GalaxyClub, which has revealed the main specifications of the Galaxy A14 model. Previously, we reported that the device from the South Korean tech giant was spotted on a GeekBench listing. The new report now reveals that the Galaxy A14 will feature a 50-megapixel main camera on the back. The last-gen Galaxy A13 featured a quad-camera setup on the back that consisted of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

  • Samsung is preparing to launch a new smartphone from the Galaxy A series soon. The smartphone is expected to be the Galaxy A14 model, whose camera and battery specifications have been leaked ahead of an official announcement.

So, we can assume that the company will ship the newer model with the same sensors. However, it seems that Samsung will forgo one of those rear-facing camera sensors this time, as leaked renders only show a triple camera module. Apart from that, the report claims that the Galaxy A14 model will be powered by a large 5,000mAh battery, which carries the model number EB-BA146ABY. This also means that the battery is another aspect where there will be no significant changes.

Finally, the upcoming phone will apparently also feature a 13-megapixel front-facing camera, which is an upgrade over the Galaxy A13 model’s 8-megapixel selfie shooter. From what we know so far, the Galaxy A14 will also feature a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC and a Mali G52 GPU. This chipset is quite outdated and will be coupled with 4 GB of RAM. There could also be a variant with 6 GB of RAM. The device is expected to ship with the Android 13 OS-based One UI 5.
